Hey all...
It's been over 2 months since my last post and things have been ridiculously busy! Here's a quick update... I moved, still living out of some boxes. Totally loving my new surroundings! My little booger butt will be 3 months on Friday! Time is already flying! Daniel is set to finish elementary school and then he's off to middle school! I can't believe it... seems like yesterday he was a tiny thing like my nephew.
That's pretty much sums it up... I'll try and get some pictures posted soon.

He's Here!
As promised... here are the first pictures of my new little nephew. First I'll fill you in on the labor.
Lisa went into the hospital on the evening of Feb. 27th. They started by putting a cervical cream on her cervix and that was on until about 8:30am, Feb. 28th. They started pitocin at 11am. Her contractions started off like period cramps and gradually got harder. Around 2pm, they put a foley bulb in her cervix to get her to dilate since she wasn't progressing. The foley bulb automatically put her to 3cm and around 5:30pm the foley bulb came out which means she had dilated to just a little past 3cm herself. She decided to have an epidural and that went in just before 9:3opm. At 1am, they checked her and broke her water. After that, contractions were coming harder and much closer together. She slept off and on and around 4am, she started feeling pressure and they checked her and she was at 9.5cm. We waited and waited for the doctor, but she was in another delivery. And finally around 5am, she came in and she started pushing. And out he came at 6:01am. He is the cutest thing!

I'm headed down to the hospital as soon as I'm done with this post. Lisa was admitted last night and they put the cervical cream in and told her it would need to be in until 8 this morning. As of 8:30, they hadn't taken it out. Hopefully the cream has done it's job and has ripened her cervix. Next step is to start her on pitocin. And that could take a while.
We could have a leap year baby... LOL Totally what Lisa isn't wanting. As long as he's healthy, she doesn't care.
I'll post as soon as I can with news or even some pictures!

HUGE Baby Update!!
Alright folks... the time has come! Lisa will head down to the hospital tonight around 8pm to be induced. She went today for another ultrasound, seen her doctor and told her you know... it's time he comes out. Her amniotic fluids were getting on the low side and she told Lisa that the placenta was doing good... but starting to show signs of being over 41 weeks old. Doctor told her to go home, get her things together, take a shower if she wants, grab a light dinner and then head down to the hospital. She will probably have to be in triage for a while and then once she is in her room they will start with the cervix ripening stuff and hopefully by early morning, they will be able to start the pitocin.
So in my guess, I was off by a day. And I don't think anyone guessed Thursday. So now lets see how big he is going to be! I will try and update as soon as possible. I'll be home until Lisa calls to tell me she's in a room. I don't think the hospital has wireless... oh well! And for those of you who have camera phones and I have your cell number... you can expect a picture ASAP!! If I don't have your cell number... shoot me an email with your number. Juana1976@msn.com I'll check my email from my cell phone on occasion to see if I get any numbers. And if I don't have it, I'm sure Lisa or Chris does.
I'm so excited!!!

Hmm...
Anyone want to take a guess at when this baby will come? I'm guessing Tuesday or Wednesday... of next year. LOL No just kidding... but yeah, Tuesday or Wednesday. And while I'm at it, I'll guess his weight to be 7lbs. 10ozs. and his length to be 20 inches.
Comment me with your guesses... lets see who gets closest!

Baby Update...
Just got off the phone with Lisa. She isn't dilated. They didn't strip her membranes. And they won't be inducing her this weekend.
Here's what her doctor told her...
Her ultrasound was perfect. Lil' Eddie Lee is positioned correctly and has more than enough amniotic fluid. Because of everything being in perfect condition, there is also no need to strip her membranes. This is what I like about midwifery. They aren't pratitioners of convenience. Inducing Lisa too early, could lead to a C-Section, which she doesn't want to do. Lisa is enjoying being pregnant and she told the doctor that she wants to do what is best for her and the baby. And there is no reason to induce so why chance anything.
Now... she is scheduled for another ultrasound on Monday, again to check fluids. Then she goes for her final appointment on Tuesday. If the ultrasound showed anything to be slightly cautious about, then they will induce right away. If the ultrasound looks good, Lisa will leave there with an appointment to be induced Friday evening. And it will be scheduled for the evening so that he won't be born on the 29th and be a leap year baby. So it seems we could end up having a MARCH baby! Who'd have thought huh?!?!
So now we wait. No... lets rephrase... so now we CONTINUE to wait. LOL
